Quiet Earth brings the arts and nature together, fostering an atmosphere of creative expression and balanced living in a subtle, unrushed, immersive environment. It works to inspire a sustainable artistic approach that reduces the barriers to creation – while embracing community cooperation.

With its music studio, filming locations, and historic barn that has been home to concerts and festivals, yoga retreats, and celebrations, Quiet Earth is a retreat from the pressures of modern living.

Curated by musician and artist Brent Jones, the goal of Quiet Earth, which is located just outside Dorchester in Southern Ontario, is to enhance your creativity, whether that’s through recording in the studio or barn, or joining friends for a concert.

The Barn

In recent years, the restored historic barn has hosted numerous concerts, events, and video/photography shoots. This truly inspiring building perfectly captures the connection between the incredible natural atmosphere that permeates Quiet Earth, and the artistic endeavours it inspires.

Music Festival

For more than a decade, Quiet Earth has hosted the (largely) biennial music festival, Back to the Garden, which has seen dozens of local musical acts showcase their talent and prowess for the thousands that show up under the summer sun to listen and watch something truly homegrown.

The Studio

Helmed by Brent Jones as engineer and producer, the Quiet Earth studio has helped birth dozens of creative musical projects over the years. With the main studio in the upstairs of the historic farm house on the property, Quiet Earth is recognized for freeing artists by welcoming them into a space that connects perfectly with the surrounding countryside.
